From an early age, Delicia Ennis understood the importance of shelter and the power of
providing a safe haven for those in need. Her passion for housing the homeless was evident
when, despite limited resources, she opened her three-bedroom mobile home to 12 individuals
who had nowhere else to go.
As time went on, her calling only grew stronger. When she joined MDRRC, it ignited an even
greater fire within her to expand her reach and impact. This newfound drive led her to establish a
seven-bedroom home in Baltimore, where she currently resides alongside six individuals in
desperate need of housing. More than just a shelter, this home became a sanctuary of peace, joy,
love, and compassion, all rooted in the guiding principles of God.
Seeing firsthand the life-changing effects of stable housing, Delicia’s vision crystalized, and
V.A.L.V.E.T. Transitional Housing was born. She recognized the overwhelming need for safe
and supportive living environments and took action. What started as one home evolved into a
growing network of four properties in Anne Arundel County and four more in Prince
George’s County, with even more on the horizon.
Delicia Ennis is more than just a provider of housing, she is a beacon of hope, a leader with an
unwavering commitment to restoring dignity, rebuilding lives, and offering second chances to
those who need it most. Through faith, perseverance, and an unshakable belief in her purpose,
she continues to transform lives, one home at a time
